CASH - These are companies that will pay you cash! They might also offer you other gifts in compensation, but if you can get money for doing their surveys, we've given them the CASH icon! These companies either put money (or points that equal money) earned from the surveys you complete, into an account, upon which you can redeem when the minimum redemption amount is reached. Usually, this amount is $5. OR they simply will send you a check after each completed survey. Examples of these types are companies such as GlobalTestMarket, which puts points into your account after each completed survey, and each point has a cash value. OR, on the other hand, Pinecone is a company that sends you a check in the mail, directly after each survey is completed.
POINTS - These companies let you earn points for completing their surveys, and you can redeem these points for prizes, such as gift certificates or prizes from their catalog. One great example of this type of company is ZoomPanel!
ENTRY - These companies will give you an entry, or several entries, into their sweepstakes, drawing, or whatever they wish to call it. You might win a gift, or cash! It's a shot in the dark when you think of how many other people are completing the same survey as you---HOW could you EVER win, right?---well, don't let that kind of thinking stop you! If you don't have an entry, you've got no shot at all! And it's worth it, it's so simple to sit and complete a survey.... and I've won before in the past! Not once, not twice, but quite a few times! So finish those surveys to have your chance too! You might also receive as compensation a product to test and keep.
PRIZES - Some companies, like the Flavor's Designer's Club, or BzzAgent, offer products, (what I'll refer to here as prizes), to test and keep as compensation.

A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

The information listed in DWYTO's PTP Blacklist section comes from information, opinions, ratings and reviews from other users like yourselves, from well known "Paid To" program related sites, as well as the research and personal experiences of DWYTO. Please feel free to correct us if you feel there has been a mistake in our judgement.
Some of the following sites are blacklisted because of numerous online reports from users like you, who said they have not been paid for their time and effort, even when the payout was very low, under $5. If they can't pay you your -$5, then you know it is a huge waste of your time to even try to continue on with them.
Some sites are blacklisted because of their deceitful use of 0x0 iframes. A frame is a smaller window that opens in the current window of the site and it is a deceitful practice implemented by the webmaster who built the page because the iframe might contain inside of it a program that shows that links were clicked on or were viewed, (when they were not!) or the iframe may contain a javascript code that acts like a search engine and shows fake searches which accrue the webmaster revenue but not you, or the site has used iframes for some other fraudulent reason. A webmaster can implement these codes to point traffic in his/her direction, in an attempt to show more clicks than there really were. It is called a "0x0" because that is it's pixel size, which is impossible for the human eye to see! Hidden on purpose! The use of these 0x0 frames is really a lot more sophisticated than my explantion, but I've tried to put it in simple terms anybody can understand.
Some of the following sites are blacklisted because their site just downright looks very unprofessional, with lots of misspellings, or misuse of the "$" symbol, or becaue their TOS and/or privacay statements are ridiculous. A lot of these websites know that most people are not going to have the time, or the patience, to sit there and read their TOS, so be careful! Sign up with these companies at your own risk. Be advised beforehand though, that they will probably spam you, or phish you, or use you for their own monetary gain.

This site has gotten a lot of negative reviews by other website owners claiming that GSJ stole their links and got paid for them! BEWARE! We do not promote fraudulent websites on DontWasteYourTimeOnline.com!
Get Cash For Surveys.com - Another website that asks you to pay their access fee for that list of survey companies.
Get Paid2.com - They are charging an access fee of $37.95. They are making money off of you. Not the other way around.

When we reviewed their website again recently, we noticed that they supported other survey companies we cannot recommend, such as that ubiquitous Coke VS Pepsi survey site, which claims they will give you $10 for that survey. Don't fall for it.
Best Cash Jobs.com - Another site with an access fee of $47 or $50 for that list of survey companies. *As of September 2008, this domain is now up for sale.

The Better Business Bureau says this of Ask-America:

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a failure to respond to a complaint. alleging deceptive advertising practices
Ask America could be a phishing scam and/or possible job scam. When you open the email, hidden code may verify your email address. If you visit the website, the same happens via the coded spoofed URL. Filling in the survey gives the scammers a lot of insight in how to further classify you as a target in future scams.
According to the Better Business Bureau, BBB, Ask America Survey has an unsatisfactory due to a failure to respond to complaints, as do their others: Good Grade Zone / Good Grades Now (BBB not received a response), Administrative Solutions Group (adminsolutionsgroup.net appear to be completely fictitious companies, they don't legally exist).

How do companies get blacklisted?

These companies either put money (or points that equal money) earned from the surveys you complete, into an account, upon which you can redeem when the minimum redemption amount is reached. Usually, this amount is $5. OR they simply will send you a check after each completed survey. Examples of these types are companies such as GlobalTestMarket, which puts points into your account after each completed survey, and each point has a cash value. OR, on the other hand, Pinecone is a company that sends you a check in the mail, directly after each survey is completed.
